Hi Priestly, Sometimes we use the same words, but we are not necessarily meaning the same thing, much like the terms denotation and connotation.

When I said I understood your personality, the idea that I was attempting to convey is that I feel I have a good foundation of understanding where you are in terms of an intellectual/philosophical stage. In otherwards, I have met many people like you in those regards to which we are currently discussing, so I pretty much know what you tend to believe, because of the similarities that you have with many other people whom I have previously met. I am quite sure you can say the same for me. My use of the word personality was not a good choice. I knew what I was saying when I said it, but you haven't yet been able to read my mind - AT LEAST I DON'T THINK SO - LOL.

Spacetime is an interesting concept, in that somehow our ability to wander through this fourth dimension called time was short-circuited, when compared to our ability to move freely through all 3 dimensions of space. This may be true. Quite frankly, I do not believe we will ever be able to jump out of our black box, to actually verify it with absolute certainty. Supposedly everything moves at the speed of light through space-time, including ourselves.

Sure we know some properties about electrons and photons and such, but I think we fool ourselves by saying we know what such things are. Like I said, these descriptions change depending on the tools that we use to measure them. Are we really flesh and blood, or are we just a bunch of fields of energy, surrounded by nothingness. It would seem that we are both - BILLS DUALITY THEORY - LOL.

I think that mathematicians often get caught up with their models. In essence they often put the cart before the horse. Just because they can produce some mathematical model does not mean there is a physical reality that matches this mathematical model.

Being of your background, I assume that you espouse the big bang theory. Assuming that spacetime exists, was it not created after the big bang. In otherwards, it is my understanding that spacetime, for those who believe in it, did not exist while this universe was a singularity. Does this not seem to prove at least the possibility that something could currently have some sort of prescence outside of spacetime, since something (i.e. the singularity) has done so already ?
