For now, I'd forget about the two antisense options, and also the estrogen blocker from Zeneca. From what I understand, the antisense stuff essentially does what dutasteride does, only through manipulation of messenger RNA instead of direct inhibition of 5-AR. IMHO, it isn't worth potential risks associated with this sort of therapy when dutasteride will probably prove to be very safe for most men. Just my opinion, of course. As for the estrogen blocker, there seems to be such confusion surrounding this topic that I don't think it's something that any of us should be hanging our hat on. If it shows potential in tests involving humans suffering from MPB, great, I'm all for it. Til then, I think it's wise to take it with a grain of salt.
