Well, it all comes down to this:

Do you trust David Tse? I do.

Do you believe that Gho and Fleskins were being honest? who knows. It is interesting that Gho is not trying to "sell" the idea, which goes 100% contrary to everything we have seen from past hoaxes. So, he probably is not a hoaxster ala DF. Instead, all his credibility lies in both his education background and his lack of direct posited evidence. MD's are often highly skilled in an area before attending med school; how do we know Gho's undergrad didn't pave the way for his research? It almost certainly has to have. From what we have been told, Gho is a notable derm in his field, quite respected. He also is not working alone, you can be sure of that. I suspect there is a small team of researchers and doctors working with Gho throughout most of this. Truthfully, we will know in two years whether any of this is true or not, but the picture for Gho is far from bleak in regards to his credibility.
