I think what many people here are missing is the fact that clinical trials are often shrouded in secrecy. This is because patients are sometimes under legally binding agreements not to discuss the tests with anyone outside of their immediate family, etc. Realistically, how many patients undergoing clinical trials of drugs like Dutasteride, or people in gene therapy trials, do we hear from? Usually, almost as a rule, these people don't talk to the press/media even if they're not bound by a confidentiality agreement. From what I understand, Dr. Gho's patients are bound. Also, part of the contract probably stipulates that if the subject breaches it, he's no longer part of the trials. Given that Gho isn't experimenting on hundreds of people, but more likely something like only 15-20 test subjects, it's reasonable that we haven't heard from any of these people, who don't want to jeopardize their status as test patients.
