WBBSG has explained that in a quasi socialist state like the Netherlands, a researcher like Gho would not be begging for a microscope. Clearly this is bogus.

Gho has a good five to seven years at this HM stuff. He now has some kind of connection with a major Dutch VC group. (Hence the quasi part of quasi-socialist?) I am sure they will front him a microscope or two. Indeed, I bet they would buy him a lab! And if they are funding his research to a tune of the order we think it probable (considering the potential payoff of a working HM process...sigh...) then I bet they have even looked at his research, found it quite interesting and then decided to invest in his work because they probably think it is going to pay off for them big time.

If you look at what we know, I think you have to say that still, right now, Gho is out in front if based solely on the fact that he has been working with humans for the longest period of time. He has gotten through the question of "cycling" and I do not buy that his technique needs so much more refinement. I think it works pretty well now and I think the bulk of his problems remains rolling out a huge blitz of a business plan that swallows up the major markets in Europe, Asia and North America in a very short time.

He wants to come out and dominate the market from day one and at the same time threaten to sue any competitors over patents, and having already opened doors, will have revenues to pay for lawyers and will be in a position to threaten to sue credibly.

I do not think this will allow him to shut down competition forever, but I think he is very well aware of all his competitors and has decided they are not a danger. I think he is still well ahead of Unger, if only on the issue of cycling hairs.

This is my opinion, of course and worth about nothing.
