10,000 cells is NOTHING...

Assuming for a moment that the scenario you described is true, getting 100 hairs for 10,000 cells is a deal. To make any real difference in a production environment, I would think the hit rate would have to increase by a magnitude at least. Costwise, I think all the costs lay in the visit, very little in the actual incubation and multiplication process once it is underway as an operation. My suspicion is, the costs will be lined up so that the "backroom" process of multiplying the hair cells will be to break-even, and the "frontroom" treatment itself is where the real profit will be. Sort of the burger (breakeven) fries (profit) scenario. I think when the process is released in the Netherlands first, which it clearly is so that they can monitor and continue to streamline the process and real world results, that we will be in for some surprises.
