No, no, no- the idea is that PTH and its related fragments bind to specialized receptors in endothelial cells, resulting in a shutting down of cellular proliferation. To counteract this effect in DP and ORS cells, a *local* PTH receptor blocker is used, not a systemic one. There have been studies showing that KGF and PTH act in concert to regulate cellular division, so the blocking of one's actions enhances the effect of the other. I suggest doing a search on Dr Michael Holick for more information.
