Hi people. Some thoughts...

TAMANU OIL http://www.tahiti-iti.com/tamanu_monoi.htm

The above website is where I recently ordered Tamanu Oil from; I should receive it in about a week or so. I'll keep this board updated on how it goes. There was a little discussion about this particular oil for awhile on the ZnO forum back when it started, which eventually petered out without anyone really trying it. So, I'm going to give Tamanu Oil a whirl. It's basically a really potent skin healer. Dr. Proctor himself has said something to the effect of that treating age-related skin issues will combat pattern loss. Plus, Tamanu Oil has been used by some people *for* HL specifically, however I don't know how anyone has done with it. Hundreds of years ago it was once used to successfully treat *leprosy*(!!), and it eventually gets rid of even OLD scars, so that should give an idea of just how potent a healer this is.

Tamanu is also anti-parasitic and I believe anti-fungal as well. It has been used to rid the scalp of parasites after an infection. If MPB is indeed caused by a fungus (as some believe), this would explain Nizoral's effectiveness for people suffering from it, and Tamanu's beneficial effect. Again, I'll keep you posted.

I'm probably going to mix up some water, zinc sulfate, and other stuff Waseda's been using as well. The results that he's been getting are impossible to ignore anymore, and I'm convinced this is perhaps the most powerful hair growth regimen currently in use... I know this sounds like a broken record, but once again THANKS Waseda for the donating of your time to helping us, and posting your own results for proof. It's people like you who restore my faith in human beings.

PURE GARDEN SHAMPOO http://www.freeyourself.com/html/puregfaq.html

Check this URL out. One reader on this forum claimed he had some kind of scalp acne when he used GSS + Senburi. Scroll down on the page above until you reach where it says "Question: What are the external signs of cleansing?". This insinuates that the reason some people experience this (and note that not all do) is because of the skin ridding itself of toxins. This would provide an explanation for us that the same type of thing may be happening when we experience this on our scalps when using all or part of Waseda's regimen, and it may actually be a good sign -- or at least "normal".

I have not used this product -- I'm thinking about adding the shampoo and perhaps the skin cream to my regimen. If anyone does give it a try, please let the rest of the forum know.

BeBe VISAGE/NEW YOU SKIN CARE SYSTEM http://www.nonsurgicalways.com/bebevisage/default.html

Speaking of skin healers, this is the single most impressive one I've found. It's apparently a non-surgical way to resurface the skin (Pants mentioned that he had an acne problem as well, this may be a viable option for him). I *don't know* what effect it may have on the scalp, so if anyone gives this a shot, let the buyer beware. :) I don't think it would be harmful, though, but there's no way to tell exactly what effect it may have on MPB. Essentially it involves a special enzyme extracted from a specific variation of Aloe Vera plant, used topically it exfoliates (gets rid of dead cells) 100% in minutes. Done repeatedly, this reproduces the same exfoliation rate that one had as a child, leaving healthy skin. Various HL products involve exfoliates; New-Dexpanthenol (part of BioProtein) gets rid of dead cells, and assorted shampoos have this feature as well. I myself sometimes use seaweed soap (cheap) to exfoliate, and use it on my scalp as well, it appears to help. I only need to use it a couple times a week personally; exfoliation is something one needs to do periodally but not every day (kind of the "less-is-more" approach).

I'm curious what it would do for the scalp. Again, if anyone decides to give it a shot, please let the rest of the group know.

My conclusion: there are probably plenty of products (natural and otherwise) that help us defeat HL, a lot of them are probably pro-circulatory, anti-inflammatory, purgative, & anti-fungal in nature. When a substance does one of these things, it will probably result in an improved scalp condition that is more conducive to hair growth and stopping fallout. It leads me to believe the a lot of the real damage that has been done in the whole process, is done to the capillary system. But I'm hypothesizing there. I think the ZnO forum is the single best thing going on hairsite right now. No flame wars really, just intelligent people working together to achieve a common goal.

Finally, IF ANYONE tries one of the products I listed above, PLEASE TELL THE REST OF THIS GROUP about it! :) It'll help benefit everyone, not just one person, if we can weed out the products that don't seem to do much, and use what universally works for practically everyone. No one product works equally well for everybody, but over time, with lots of people trying various things we'll have a pretty accurate picture of what basically works and what doesn't. And Waseda is living proof that various products can and DO reverse hairloss! So please, don't give up, and let's keep this forum responsive.

Thanks, TD
