I think OP may be right, but I'm not totally sure. My system doesn't start itching until about day two after a lace reattach or full change.

I think the hairs that pull through on the bottom are a lot of it. I have a lot and keep them trimmed, but it always seems like there are more.

the hair on my head also grows fast, and that may be part of it.

You hit it VCS in your description. It isn't like it drives you crazy, but it's kind of there all the time. (It used to drive me totally nuts.)

I think if I could handle my system like JeffD, I would never have a problem. Man, I would love to be able to scrub my head every day!! I just can't see having to reattach every morning.
