My hair has become very fine in the last few years and conditioner seems to weight it down and make it completely limp. Most are too heavy for fine hair. Also aside from coating your hair they leave a lot of residue on your scalp over time. I use a hot oil conditioner at least once a week on my hair, and my hair is in good condition, it has really strengthened my hair. I was also using a lite gel on my hair, but they stopped making it and I have to find a new one as most are to heavy for fine hair. I try to get my dry ends trimmed regularly and if I'm in a pinch I apply the smallest teeniest amount of conditioner only on the ends and not all over my head. Since I started using head and shoulders shampoo, I also noticed my hair acting more healthy. Take care. Joy
