I'll try to look at this scientifically, despite the fact that I don't know Minox's exact mode of action. However, if it is indeed a vasodilator, and only a vasodilator, then I can see how hairs would be "addicted", so to speak. You'd have to keep up the regimen of Minox to keep the capillary beds in the dermis and subcutaneous tissue "more open", so to speak. However, if Minox ALSO acts to increase angiogenesis (i.e. growth of NEW vessels) via upregulation of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (or VEGF for short), then I don't understand why one would have to continue to use minox forever, unless there is an underlying condition in AGA that would cause the newly formed vessels to die off. AHA! And that might be another reason why Minox is needed on a long-term (i.e. until a "cure" comes) basis. Now, I want to know the scientific basis of why this is true, if indeed it is the case.
