Hi JR,

I agree with much of what you said. I wasn't referring to the flagrant stuff associated with the posts from Raphael/Kevin/Whoever. I wasn't referring to you either. I was referring to the more subtle bias and narrow-mindedness that has crept into the posts of a few people. The quote I gave was just one example.

We are all wounded by the fact that we are losing or have lost our hair. It makes us very vulnerable. Places like Hair Club prey on our vulnerablility and lack of knowledge about this business and charge us a fortune for cheap crap. It just makes us want to give up and throw our "faith" into someone. For some, that person is Richard Farrell.

In this and in all areas of life, I try not to take such refuge. R.F. puts out some fine-looking units. He's a good choice for hair replacement. But even if R.F. were hypothetically to be right about things 98 percent of the time, it would be intellectually dishonest for me to just "give him" the other 2 percent. Healthy skepticsm is really the only sound road to the truth. Hair replacement is VERY complicated. It's not likely that one man is totally right about all decisions that must be made.

I've learned a lot about this crazy business over the last several weeks. I've gotten an education that sadly is rare for a consumer of hair replacement to get. I'll probably have some more to say in future posts.
