I have heard that there are only a handful of factories and they supply EVERYONE including HCM and Apollo.>

I agree with your comment about a smaller operation. The more staff a company has, the less personal it tends to become. Buckeye, for example, has felt the pinch of Farrell's expansion. If Farrell were working only by himself, it's far less likely Buckeye would ever had been charged for the recoloring.

What "trade secrets" are you talking about? One main feature of this blasted industry is that trade secrets are rare. The big advertisers try to convince us that what they have is unique, usually through the use of scientific-sounding names. Actually, they are all selling the same thing under different names. An independent practitioner can get anything he or she wants.

This might take some aback because it questions a common assumption around here but I'm just asking in the spirit of searching for the truth: What evidence do you have that European hair is actually significantly better than Asian hair? And please don't answer with something like, "I had Asian hair with Hair Club and it sucked and my European hair with Farrell is good." In an effort to cut costs, Hair Club uses BAD Asian hair. There is also BAD European hair.

Let me explode one myth right here: The practioner who cuts my hair can get European hair if the customer wants it. It will just cost a little more. Does she think it's better? She says it has been touted as being better but, in her experience, she can't say it really is.

Let's suppose that their were only one Asian factory. Isn't it possible that it can produce both low-end stock-type units and also higher end custom units? Don't many companies produce products with a range of qualities? Isn't the use of the term "factory" itself biased? I assume the "factory" is a room somewhere where hair units are sewn together. Why is this room a "factory" whereas the place where Farrell units are made is something else?

Be assured that I am very open-minded and understand why people feel as they do due to how much crap is out there. I look foward to seeing a Farrell unit in person. I have seen many demo lace-front units off peoples heads. I truly hope that when I see a Farrell, I will be amazed at the difference. If so, I will report that fact.
