What I've seen Farrel suggest on hairlosshelp seems reasonable to me: don't start with dutasteride right off the bat, but try finasteride first and see what kind of results you get. If it doesn't seem to work for you, you can always switch to dutasteride. Seems like a conservative approach like that would be more prudent.
